Amidst the never-ending downpour outside, lying in my bed with fever, my mind traverses to a genre that has fascinated me ever since I was a child, the diminishing kingdoms and rule.
Time and again in the history of the world, dynasties have seen it’s Fall from its Zenith , rulers flourished and perished, kingdoms came and got destroyed and the sole source behind such catastrophes was Power, Desire to Reign. Man is insatiable by nature and his needs are ever changing and challenging. Hunger for name and fame drives one to doom. Flourising kingdoms, powerful nations, inspiring individuals, competent leaders, all met the same fate in their tryst for power.
Hitler, Napoleon, Saddam Hussain, Osama …All powerful tyrants met the same fate when their pride of power collapsed them making them mere mortals of death. Though” Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown” the toil and trail of tales of power and success has been fascinating generations to attain power by hook or by crook. This reign of power generates a fall whereby it is impossible to arise and awake. The rainfall has eventually stopped and my fever has subsided but the reign of fall will never stop and continue to grasp more and more victims in its vicinity unless we as a race refrain from misutilising our power of thinking to attain Selfish desires.
